Helpful Hints
Remember to bring adequate clothing, as the temperatures can vary on the day of the race.

Please note that the race is for runners and walkers. No bicycles, strollers, roller blades or other devices will be allowed on the course during the race.

Remember we are guests of the neighborhoods in which we are running/walking. Please respect the area by not littering or defacing property (which includes not painting words of encouragement on the roads and bike paths).

Your safety and enjoyment is our primary concern. If at any time during the race you feel you are in need of assistance please ask a race volunteer for assistance. Race volunteers will be available throughout the course and in the registration area.

Water stations will be available on the 5K course.

A bag check will be available at the race. Please stop by the school office near the gymnasium.

Race Fees

$40:    includes 5K entry fee, race shirt, race packet,breakfast and a beer for ages 21 and older (Late registration add $10 fee). 
$140:  Includes one $10,000 Shamrock Raffle ticket, 5K race entry fee, race shirt, race packet, pancake breakfast and a beer for ages 21 and older.
$100:  Includes one $10,000 Shamrock Raffle ticket and a beer at the raffle drawing for ages 21 and over.

Timing for all participants will be provided by RACE TIME of St. Charles, Illinois via their Race Time system.  Each participant will be issued a race bib with a bar code.  Upon crossing the finish line the bar code will be read and a card with the bib number and completion time will be issued.  No timing chip is needed for this system. All RACE TIME decision will be final.

Awards will be given to the top 3 males and females overall and to the top 3 males and females in each division.

Volunteers, including spouses and other family members of participants, or athletes that are unable to participate are welcome and encouraged to help with the race. We need good volunteers to maintain the quality and safety of this event. If you are interested in being involved in this way, please contact us at irishjigjog2014@gmail.com.

Lost and Found
Any equipment that is unmarked will be returned to the finish line and handled by lost and found officials for participants to claim. Please come to the event with all personal belongings marked with your name.  Lost and Found will be located near the entrance of the school.  Any items not picked up the day of the race will be held at the school for 30 days.

Parking is available at St. Catherine’s School (address in the upper right column) the day of the race in the West parking lot in the grass area only. To ensure the safety of all participants please access parking via Galvin Parkway and do not attempt to enter the school parking via IL Rt. 72. Security personnel will be on hand to direct you to approved parking.

Participants with special parking needs should request assistance from a security guard, who will provide assistance.
