Welcome
The Irish Jig Jog, to benefit St. Catherine of Siena School, will be held on Saturday September 8, 2007.
The race, which begins and ends at St. Catherine’s School located at Rt. 31 and Rt. 72 in West Dundee has attracted participants from babies in strollers to serious competitive runners.
While only in its third year the Jig Jog expects to attract over 300 runners and walkers. Race organizers have already made significant improvements to the race including:
- Becoming CARA certified & US Track and Field approved;
- Offering a 10K race to the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run;
- Bar code timing for personalized and immediate results; and
- Expanded age categories for awards.
Proceeds from the 2006 race enabled the school to greatly improve its playground areas and purchase new sports equipment for its students.
We hope all race enthusiasts in the Fox Valley will take this opportunity to join in the fun and be a part of this fantastic community event!
Congratulations are in Order!
